Why we make these
People want to look at their animal more often than the animal is around to be looked at.
That sentence is the whole business. Every portrait we have ever shipped was ordered by someone in exactly that position.
Some of them were gifts. A great many were for pets who had already died, and those orders arrive with the photo attached and very little else said. That changed how we build this. No novelty filters, no cartoon eyes, nothing that treats the animal as a joke — unless the joke is the one you picked on purpose, in which case we will paint it completely straight-faced.
The rest is craft. Real paint weight in the artwork, real fabric under the print, and a preview you approve yourself before anything is committed to fabric.

It starts with a photo you already have
Not a studio session. The one on your phone from a Tuesday afternoon, where the light happened to be good and they happened to look up.
Hand us the photo
One clear shot of their face, taken at their eye level, in daylight. That is the entire requirement. A phone camera is not a compromise here — most of the portraits we are proudest of started as ordinary phone snaps.
Your photo is used to make your order and nothing else. It is processed by us and by our AI technology providers to produce your design, and it is never sold.
One photo comes back as six paintings
Not six filters over the same image. Six different painters' hands, each with its own light, palette and idea of what your animal is. You see all of them, from your own photo, before you choose anything or pay anything.

Every preview carries that stamp until you approve it. Check the crop, the colour and the markings against your own photo — ear patches in the wrong place, a face cropped too tight, a palette that has drifted are all things you can see at full size while it still costs nothing to change.
The stamp comes off when you approve it. Not before.

Every item is printed after you order. Production takes two to seven business days, then about three to five days in transit — most orders arrive five to twelve business days after you order.
