Bramble, the Retired Sheepdog
Fourteen years on a hillside in Cumbria, and one photograph taken on a phone in the last spring.

The reference photo was not a good one. It was taken into the light, slightly out of focus, and the top of one ear was cropped off.
It was also the last photograph of Bramble, and that made it the only one that mattered.
Working from an imperfect reference
We rebuilt the ear from a second, older photograph and used the newer one for the face and the expression. The result is not a copy of either image.
